Anyhow, what are peoples views on swearing? I have a bit of a "potty mouth" in certain circumstances but I tend to not go any further than the F, S and B words. So...all this got my thinking and I decided to do a bit of research. I won't go into my findings as this isnt the place but I did come accross some amusing bits:
"Shakespeare hinted at the word [cunt] in Hamlet, Twelfth Night and Henry V: Hamlet quips about "country matters" when he tries to lay his head in Ophelia's lap; Malvolio has the deliciously salacious line "These be her very c's, her u's, and her t's, and thus she makes her great p's"
"In Finnish, katso merta means look at the sea, but to Italophones it sounds very similar to cazzo merda; cazzo is the English equivalent of cock or dick, and merda means shit. While cazzo merda does not make much sense grammatically (they are just two substantives put one after the other), hearing such a thing would be funny for Italians, to say the least."
And whilst I'm on this subject I remembered seeing an advert on C4 of lots of celebs saying what their favourite swear word is. Rachel Bilsons "shit face" is my personal favourite:

Hope I haven't offended anyone!
